  • Try to avoid infection, including washing your hands on a regular basis and cooking your meats through and through.
  • Get enough sleep.
  • Drink alcohol only in moderation, if at all.

  • Eat a healthy diet high in whole grains, vegetables, and fruits, with very little saturated fats.

Some products you’ll find at the store will claim to increase your immune system or boost immunity. The idea of enhancing your immunity through the use of these products doesn’t make very much sense.

Even if you increase the number of immune cells in your body, this isn’t necessarily a positive thing.  Bad things can come out of having too many immune cells in your body.  Trying to increase the cells of the immune system through the use of so-called natural products can lead to health problems you don’t want to have.  Scientists don’t even know which cells of the immune system are healthy to increase.
